WireChanger is a program that helps you group and change wallpapers for user desktop. It allows you to choose from a list of wallpaper which are changed at user’s will.
In detail:
WireChanger allows to create groups. All image files stored on your computer can be assigned to one or more groups. Then you can choose one or more groups for replacement of wallpaper.
WireChanger allows to use images in other applications. All image files saved in for example Word, Excel or Picture can be assigned to groups. When you choose a group for replacement, the program will automatically replace it with corresponding image file.
WireChanger allows to use image templates. We are not speaking only of overlay with an image. Templates allow to apply calendar, weather reports, text with sources etc.
Very few software applications supports the use of templates. Calendars show how much time of the year you’ve passed, forecast temperature, and time… There is even the possibility to display your own quotes, and other notes.
This feature allows to display same data on the desktop. You can use templates for any purpose: Calendar, Weather, Notes…
Finally, some software applications provides an opportunity to turn a picture into a calendar. The only problem with such applications is that you have to keep turning pages manually. WireChanger helps to automate this procedure.
WireChanger can insert any text you want. You can put some links here. The theme can be applied to all images in a group, or to a subset of them.
WireChanger allows to select another folder to search for images. Thus, you can create a new group of images with names of the newly found folders.
WireChanger allows to enable/disable the search in a new folder. In this case you’ll see a „Search in this folder…“ notice. By default, this feature is disabled.
Additional Notes:
The program can be started in „Startup“ mode in order to change your wallpaper automatically. It’s the best way if you are a casual user.
You can define the periodicity of the replacement.
WireChanger can store in registry. You can also call it from the command line.
WireChanger supports a wide range of image file formats: jpg, gif, png, bmp and htm files.
