Spring Boot Rest endpoint for API returns JSONP response
I am developing a REST API in SpringBoot and I am using AJAX to query the API. I have it returning JSON in the browser but for some reason it is returning JSONP. I cannot find any documentation on this. I have tried adding content-type header to my Ajax request and it does not work.
I am using Swagger as well so there is no documentation for this. I have searched the internet but found nothing.
EDIT: I am asking about the return value of the GET call, not about the way the response should be.

i encountered that same problem. it has to do with the way your spring-boot backend works.
i’m using a @RestController that returns a @ResponseBody, but i think what you should do is :
return new ResponseEntity(result, HttpStatus.OK);
then, your api should work as expected.

Quickly editing subs, rendering them as new movies, and then exporting for MPlayer. In both cases, the subtitles appear after the main video, and so are slightly off-line (I find it correct though for most DVDs).
Incredibly handy, and I’m glad it can search in a Google-translated database as well. The only downside is that it creates a new file without renaming the original. I have a series of movies in which the subtitles are new but look the same. I plan to re-do the work.
KotSub gives you this really handy feature. You can completely rewrite any subtitle by specifying the starting time and if you want it to start at the end of the video. That’s really handy since the subtitle is inserted after the video and you can start the video and the subtitles at different times. It’s very quick and simple so I highly recommend it.
